Aromatouch Technique

Aromatouch Technique

The dōTERRA ArōmaTouch Technique is a clinical approach to applying essential oils along energy meridians and visceral contact points of the back and feet to help balance sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems of the body. Developed by Dr. David Hill, a leading expert in integrative medicine and therapeutic applications of essential oils, the ArōmaTouch Technique improves well-being by reducing physical and emotional stressors and by supporting healthy autonomic function. The technique is simple and intuitive and uses dōTERRA CPTG Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade® essential oils for an unparalleled grounding experience.

This revolutionary ArōmaTouch Technique treatment combines the very best of clinical excellence with ancient aromatherapy wisdom and the healing power of touch. It offers a gentle and nurturing experience.

The AromaTouch® Procedure

The ArōmaTouch Technique includes four primary steps designed to minimize systematic stressors to autonomic balance. Each step includes the application of two essential oils or essential oil blends specifically formulated to support healthy emotional and physiological functions for well-being. The technique requires 40 minutes per application, and a 1hr appointment includes a wellness consult to discuss your personal health requirements.

The Four Step Approach

Step 1 ~ Stress Management (to balance and calm)

The ArōmaTouch Technique begins with an application of dōTERRA’s Balance blend of Spruce, Rosewood, Frankincense and Blue Tansy, to help with anxiety and moments of disconnectedness and helps create a sense of calm and well-being. This is followed by heavenly Lavender to enhance this relaxation and calmness.

Step 2 ~ Immune Support (to cleanse and strengthen)

Step 2 of the ArōmaTouch Technique is to apply Melaleuca, which works as a cleanser and detoxifier and is renowned for its regenerative properties and limitless therapeutic applications, followed by dōTERRA’s divine On Guard protective blend of pure therapeutic grade Wild Orange, Clove, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus and Rosemary essential oils that stimulate and support the body’s own defence system and immune functions. By this time, you will more than likely have drifted off to sleep – a great sign that the treatment is working.

Step 3 ~ Inflammatory Response (to stimulate and soothe)

Step 3 begins with the application of the Aromatouch massage blend which contains Basil, Grapefruit, Cypress, Marjoram, Peppermint and Lavender essential oils that stimulate blood flow to surface tissues, relax muscles, soothe irritated tissue and limbs. This is then followed by a delicious treat to your skin – Deep Blue soothing blend: Wintergreen, Peppermint, Blue Tansy, German Chamomile, Helichrysum and the amazing scent of Osmanthus to help support a healthy inflammatory response in your body, easing achy joints and sore muscles. Its effects are deep and penetrating and the cool therapeutic benefit will be felt almost immediately.

Step 4 ~ Homeostasis (to invigorate and centre)

The last step is to apply the energising essential oils of Wild Orange and Peppermint which refresh, rejuvenate and centre your body, mind and spirit in strength and serenity. Wonderful aromas for easy breathing, as a digestive aid and for uplifting your mood.
